Dada Evening with Jaap Blonk
Jaap Blonk's career as a vocal performer began with the performance of Dada-Lautgedichten, and he still enjoys performing his selected favorites.
Among them are some precursors of Dada, such as Christian Morgenstern, and futurism Velimir Chlebnikow (Russia) and Tommaso Marinetti (Italy).
Then of course there are Hugo Ball and Hans Arp, as central figure Kurt Schwitters (parts of the famous Ursonate as well as shorter poems) and from the Netherlands: Theo van Doesburg.
Further excursions lead to later authors from Surrealism (Antonin Artaud), from concrete poetry (Ernst Jandl), and from Fluxus (Dich Higgins).
In conclusion, Jaap Blonk's own Dada-inspired work will not be missing.
