On her aluminum panels, Doris Hahlweg paints pictures in unknown territory in order to surprise herself and us with discoveries that she did not look for, but dared to do. Constantly groping, storming less vehemently but with great certainty, she explores formulations that arise and prove in her work process. The metallic background gives a painterly hold and supports the inner glow of the considered color palette.
